The main body of the spiral screw machine is composed of stationary rings and movable rings stacked into a cylindrical shape, with a spiral shaft running through it to form a filtering device. Because the inner diameter of the movable ring is smaller than the outer diameter of the spiral shaft, the rotation of the spiral shaft can drive the movable ring to perform circular motion, preventing blockages. The gap between the stationary ring and the movable ring gradually narrows along the direction of the mud cake outlet, from the thickening to the dewatering section. After the sludge is thickened by gravity in the thickening section, it is gradually transported to the dewatering section, where forced dewatering is achieved under the internal pressure generated by the back pressure plate at the discharge outlet.

5. Water-saving: The self-cleaning structure of the spiral screw body that prevents filter gap blockage can save a large amount of water for cleaning. Under the same treatment capacity, the water consumption of the spiral screw is only 1/115 of that of the belt dewatering machine.

The multi-disk configuration utilizes a series of independently movable laminating rings arranged along the spiral shaft, creating a highly efficient dewatering zone. As sludge progresses through the screw, the progressive reduction in pitch volume generates compression forces up to 0.7 MPa. The double worm gear mechanism ensures balanced power distribution across the drive train, reducing mechanical stress and extending component life. This design achieves continuous automatic operation with minimal energy consumption while producing dewatered cake with solids content ranging from 22 to 30 percent.
